I noticed yesterday that I started this blog because I want my ideas out there, but I want them out there as my ideas! Truth is the ideas I put out there come from something bigger than myself, and they are repeated in so many ways throughout our culture. This idea of the "We-Being", first of all there were three of us who talked about it together for a time, and who knows which one of us first called it a "we-being." Then I've heard that other spiritual leaders are talking about something similar, such as Deiter Duhm, Andrew Cohen and Thomas Hubl.
The "We-Being" not the best term for it, but my favorite term would turn off a huge portion of my friends who are not Christians...the Body of Christ. I could go on and on about Jesus, and then again on why I'm not Christian. I love Jesus and think the majority of Christians have missed what he was trying to teach. That is a whole other post, for now let continue on the We-Being/Body of Christ idea.
A group of people living in unity, loving one another, who relate to one another like fish in a school or organs in a body. Everyone plays their part, the whole is more than the sum of its parts. This is what I think is really the path to enlightenment in our day and age. I think Jesus was trying to create this with his disciples, but the disciples didn't understand and they failed. The "technology" involved is about agreement, people being in agreement, which looks to me like people clear enough to be awake to their inner voice, not confusing their limbic brain with their higher self.
The other piece of "technology" is about Substance, the spiritual energy. The Substance is built through right actions, things like meditation, sacred singing, ecstatic dance, loving sex, exercises that build intimacy and transparency, personal liberation work, prayer, creating anything "good", and anything that is wholesome. Its depleted in "wrong" action, things like watching TV, playing video games, reading murder mysteries, sex where there is no love, and countless other ways that are much worse. As I write this I realize that Substance may not be so much built and depleted, but created in certain veins. The higher and finer Substance is what we want to create enlightened living.
I've been with groups of people who unconsciously have created the high and fine Substance, and seen spontaneous growth/liberation/enlightenment happen to individuals within the group. My theory is that if there were a group of people who were committed to creating this Substance consciously, committed to loving one another and being transparent in the process, we would reach enlightenment as a group. It seems to me that there are some groups on the planet who have reached this state as a group and continue on in this state together.
I believe that if enough groups do this all over the planet, the entire planet could become a unified field of enlightenment! At this point I'd like to just create one of those points with others. I imagine if a group does this in a place where they live, that over time everyone who comes onto that land would awaken. The thing is if they leave the property and the people, their consciousness could lower again. This is enough for today, maybe I'll talk more about my personal journey of losing consciousness in my next post...
I'm curious if you can relate to this, and have had a taste of these kinds of groups?

I'm thinking today about how to help people awaken to their authentic selves, when they've created all these barriers to do so because of past trauma. I think a lot about Baltimore city and how to get neighbors talking to each other in ways that feel safe, how to help people organize, and what we all need for better communication. To me we need good communication skills to be able to cooperate and share resources. Even relatively open people who live on communes tend to blame one another, play out roles of victim and aggressor with full belief that those roles are true of one another. How to introduce ideas of taking 100% responsibility for your own experience, while helping people do the personal liberation work they need to do to be able to love one another?
If the average Joe on the street needs to do as much "healing" work as I've done to be able to live in cooperation, the task seems daunting! I've devoted 14+ years doing this stuff, most people may be willing to do a few weeknights.
I tend to think that people do need to do the personal liberation work to be able to effectively live in community. I've seen lots of communities where people are kind of sharing resources but still have their fiefdom. I want the whole enchilada, people living in total personal freedom, doing the work they love doing, being productive members of society, sharing resources to the point where everyone's needs are being met without destroying the earth, people in love with one another and the divine.
I hear that Living Classrooms is interested in a model that a school in Harlem uses where they are responsible for the children from birth through college, creating block by block neighborhood communities. I wonder if they are interested in an outside the box thinker like myself?

I used to have an elist where I sent out my thoughts about once a week or so. It was fun sending it out during my travels and learning to be more and more transparent and authentic as I went. I've been meaning to create a blog in a similar vain, to get some of my thoughts out of me and into the world.
This weekend I went to a Network for a New Culture event in New Jersey, and I got to be in a space where my honesty and humor were appreciated, while being held with love, physically and emotionally. I wouldn't say it was the best time ever, but I learned more about myself than if I had stayed home and new possibilities opened up for me.
The most powerful piece I came away with was a reminder from a beautiful soul about what I call the "We being." The idea is that a group build enough substance with one another that they start to live and act in union. Our current evolutionary leap is akin to what happened when single cell organisms evolved into multi-cell organisms. Its an exciting time to be alive! Our evolution is moving from a single human being the enlightened guru, to groups who in their unity are enlightened. I've intuited that I won't be enlighted without a committed group of people living enlightened with me. And this is how enlightenment is evolving, we will become people who live in cooperation and power with others, from a place of love, sanity and unity.
